Are you ready to make a meaningful, lasting, and positive contribution to the lives of our youth and young adults? Do you have the desire to share your expertise and empower the next generation of leaders? Then the IN Network needs you! We welcome interns from diverse skill sets and professional backgrounds that can be applied to careers in national security. Our primary goal is to educate young people about the endless and exciting career opportunities in this field. We need interns to deliver courses, host workshops and seminars, provide IT and administrative support, organize fundraisers, write grants, and much more.

Internship Requirements

  • Be a U.S. citizen

  • Have a minimum 3.2 GPA

  • Be an Undergraduate (juniors and seniors) or Graduate Student

  • Be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per work towards program goals

  • Be free of any current or past legal issues adverse to national security efforts

The President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)

IN Network proudly certifies the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) as a prestigious form of recognition for the dedication exhibited by volunteers who are committed to serving their communities. This esteemed award is specifically designed to acknowledge those who have contributed the age-based hour requirement of community service within a 12-month period. The receipt of this award not only honors their significant contributions but also serves as a valuable enhancement to their resumes and job applications.

There are two eligibility periods for which an individual can pursue:

Calendar Year: Jan 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025

Academic Year: April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026

Hours Required to Earn Awards in Each Age Group

Recognized individuals will receive a PVSA medallion in addition to a personalized certificate of achievement and letter signed by the President of the United States. For more information, please contact us via the online form.
